How have you been?
Hopefully, you are taking time to enjoy the holiday season. Do you have a book that you read every year before Christmas?
I do. I love to pull the Home in Time for Christmas by Heather Graham out and look at the pretty cover.

Then, I make myself a hot chocolate or a cup of tea and curl up on the couch to reacquaint myself with the delightful cast of characters.
The book is a time travel romance. Melody is not looking forward to going home to her family. Her career is stagnant and her boyfriend wants to marry her. She isn’t happy. She is driving home in the middle of a snow storm when a person appears in the middle of the road. She swerves to hit him but is afraid that she clipped him when she realizes that he is dressed from the Revolution time period. Maybe he hit his head?
She doesn’t know what to do with him, so she packs him into her car and takes him home to her family. They welcome the stranger, Jake, with open arms and believe the story that he tells how he was about to be executed for being a patriot. Melody can’t believe any of it.
She takes a long journey on self discovery while helping Jake try to get back. Of course, they fall in love. There is some delightful banter and antics. The setting is rich in detail that draws me right in. Plus, a wonderful little time travel switch. Plus, it ends happily.
