Book Review: The best of you

The Best of you by Sophie-Leigh Robbins

Book Blurb from Goodreads:

They may be faking their relationship, but they can’t fake the sparks that fly when they’re together.

Desperate to get away from her cheating ex, travel vlogger Holly books a last-minute cruise to the Caribbean, even though the only available packages left are part of a singles cruise. Of course, Holly has no intention of participating in any dating activities. The further away she can stay from love, the better.

Then she runs into Noah, who is equally appalled by the idea of dating anyone after being dumped on his wedding day. They immediately bond over their failed love lives and it doesn’t take long for them to become friends.

When Noah witnesses another passenger hitting on Holly and refusing to take no for an answer, he volunteers to be her fake boyfriend. But as time passes by, they start to realize they are getting more than what they bargained for.

Will Holly accept what’s right in front of her or will she keep running from her dreams?

Book Review:

This is the last book in The Oceanic Dreams series. It is hard to say but I think this one might be my favorite!

The author artfully crafts a tale of two imperfect people falling in love. Holly is a travel vlogger who just got majorly dumped by her fiance. She books this cruise to get away and hopefully grow her vlog. Noah brought his dad aboard so that he could find love. I just love the meet cute of how Holly and Noah met. It is sweet and perfect for a vlogger. Their chemistry is spot on throughout the whole trip. It makes the reader feel happy and satisfied like all is right in the world.

The secondary characters are to die for. Noah’s dad is hilarious. George and Georgia are so cute and full of wisdom. She did a great job making the other man, Logan, nerdy. I felt so bad for him. I hope he found his own love.

The Oceanic Dreams series all took place on the same cruise ship at the same time. Throughout the books, you would catch glimpses of the other characters. This was such a cool idea and I absolutely fell in love with Sophie’s writing. I can’t wait to try another.

Thank you to the author for her book. This is my honest opinion. You can find this book on Kindle Unlimited.
